Combining these interests with his real-world experiences of winning both powerlifting and bodybuilding competitions has allowed him to fast track his clients to their goals. But are you really maximising your results with your clients?

There are four key aspects that you need to fully understand to draw out the best possible results, I’ve put them in my order of importance below;

  1. Nutrition Strategies

Nutrition strategies are all about looking into your clients’ current nutrition habits and how you can optimise their diet for maximum fat loss without compromising performance in the gym or losing muscle mass. This can be a difficult one to figure out as it can involve some guesswork and going too high or low with your clients’ calories can sometimes be a step back in the overall journey.

  1. Lifestyle Factors

Lifestyle factors involve everything outside of the kitchen and the gym that your client can control which will be beneficial to their transformation. For example, are they hitting their daily step target? Are they minimising alcohol consumption? Is their sleep allowing them to maximise recovery and reduce stress levels.

Once you have nailed the required lifestyle factors with a client you will see your results skyrocket compared to clients that haven’t!

  1. Training Strategies

Normally a huge focus of personal trainers’ transformations, I actually think that training isn’t as important as it has been made out to be.

However, I’m not saying that training isn’t important, it is a crucial component when trying to maintain as much lean muscle tissue as possible whilst reducing body fat.

It is also what most of our clients enjoy doing and they would have been training for a while without us.

  1. Supplements

I think we have all had a client that loves to think supplements will solve all of their problems!

In transformation protocols there is a misconception that your clients must take supplements. I only really recommend some key essentials to clients and only if they are genuinely needed, my most regularly recommended supplements include:

  • Vitamin D3
  • Whey Protein
  • Creatine
  • Daily Dose by Awesome Supplements (as an insurance policy when dieting)

Sometimes I will recommend other supplements however I will base this on an individual clients needs and the severity and length of their calorie deficit.

In summary, if you can deliver the best possible overall strategy for your clients individual needs then they have the best chance of achieving amazing results.
